Château des Quarts Pouilly-Fuissé captures elegant white Burgundy with classic Mâconnais character and refined finesse.
Château des Quarts is one of the Mâconnais' most exciting estates, created through the partnership of Jean-Marie Guffens of Domaine Guffens-Heynen and the Bret Brothers. Combining meticulous vineyard management with low-intervention winemaking, the estate has quickly earned a reputation for producing Pouilly-Fuissé of remarkable purity, finesse and site expression, showcasing the immense potential of southern Burgundy.
The 2024 vintage delivered beautifully balanced fruit, with ideal growing conditions preserving freshness while allowing exceptional flavour development. Carefully selected vineyards on limestone-rich soils have produced a wine of precision and elegance, while thoughtful barrel maturation adds texture without masking its vibrant fruit or mineral character.
Pale gold with brilliant straw highlights, the bouquet reveals aromas of lemon zest, white peach and ripe pear layered with citrus blossom, toasted almond and delicate flinty notes. The palate is beautifully poised, balancing vibrant citrus and stone fruit with creamy texture, lively acidity and a fine chalky mineral thread. Long, refined and wonderfully persistent, the finish lingers with saline freshness and subtle oak spice.
A superb partner for grilled lobster, seared scallops, roast chicken, creamy mushroom risotto or aged Comté. Equally compelling on release or after careful cellaring, this is a beautifully crafted Pouilly-Fuissé from one of the region's rising stars.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2038.
