Clyde Park has long been one of the Bellarine Peninsula's benchmark producers, with the Shelmerdine family establishing the estate in the cool hills overlooking Geelong in the late 1970s. The combination of maritime influence, thoughtful vineyard management and a focus on regional expression has made Clyde Park one of Victoria's most respected Pinot Noir specialists.
The Locale range celebrates the character of the Bellarine Peninsula, where cool sea breezes from Port Phillip Bay and Bass Strait shape wines of perfume, freshness and elegance. The 2024 vintage has delivered beautifully balanced Pinot Noir with purity of fruit and fine tannin structure.
The colour is a bright ruby red with youthful crimson hues. Aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry rise from the glass alongside rose petals, cinnamon and hints of forest floor. The palate is silky and beautifully poised, layering vibrant red fruits with subtle spice and savoury complexity. Fine tannins and bright acidity provide structure and energy, while the finish remains long, fragrant and unmistakably cool climate in style.
A superb match for duck breast with cherries, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon or roast chicken with thyme and garlic. Enjoy over the next five to eight years as the wine develops additional earthy and savoury nuances.
