A full-bodied wine, but not overly concentrated – it has a sense of fluidity and good acidity, leading to a fresh, gently saline finish. Unusually intense, mineral and focused for a Côtes du Rhône – this is one to buy. Punches above its weight.

92 points Matt Walls for Decanter

Hidden among the rolling hills of the southern Rhône, Domaine La Réméjeanne has become one of the region's quiet success stories. Founded by Rémy Klein and now guided by his son Olivier Klein, the estate is located near Sabran in the Gard, where old vines, organic farming and a deep respect for the local environment shape every wine. The family has spent decades refining their vineyards, producing Rhône wines that consistently deliver freshness, character and exceptional value.

Les Arbousiers Blanc is crafted from traditional Rhône white varieties grown on limestone and clay soils scattered across the estate's elevated sites. The cooler exposures and careful vineyard management help retain natural acidity, giving the wine far more energy and precision than many southern Rhône whites. Minimal intervention in the winery allows the fruit and terroir to take centre stage, creating a wine that is both expressive and wonderfully drinkable.

Bright pale gold with green highlights, the aromas leap from the glass with notes of white peach, apricot and ripe pear, supported by lemon blossom, fennel and a touch of honeysuckle. The palate is generous yet fresh, offering layers of stone fruit, citrus and orchard fruit flavours wrapped around a supple texture. A subtle mineral character and gentle herbal notes add complexity, while lively acidity keeps everything balanced and vibrant through a long, refreshing finish.

This versatile white is superb with grilled prawns, baked snapper with herbs, roast chicken with lemon and garlic, zucchini and ricotta tart or a saffron scented seafood stew. It also shines as an aperitif on a warm afternoon. Enjoy over the next three to five years while its fruit remains bright and expressive. For lovers of southern Rhône whites, Les Arbousiers is a delicious reminder that the region offers far more than just red wine.
