2024 Famille Hugel Gentil, Alsace

Few names are more closely associated with Alsace than Famille Hugel. Established in 1639 in the picturesque village of Riquewihr, the family has spent nearly four centuries crafting wines that have become benchmarks for the region. Now led by the thirteenth generation, Hugel remains one of France's most respected wine houses, renowned for producing wines that capture the purity, freshness and gastronomic versatility of Alsace.

Gentil is one of the estate's most historic wines, inspired by the traditional Alsatian practice of blending noble grape varieties to create a wine greater than the sum of its parts. Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Muscat and Sylvaner each contribute their own personality, resulting in a vibrant and expressive white that showcases the diversity of the region.
