Farina Valpolicella DOC is a lively, expressive red from the hills around Verona in the Veneto region, crafted in a classic style that celebrates the bright fruit and food-friendly charm of traditional Valpolicella. Made from a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella — the region’s signature trio — this wine is a snapshot of northern Italian winemaking at its most joyful: fresh, supple, and full of energy.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to preserve fruit purity, with a short maceration to extract soft tannins and aromatics without over-extraction. There’s no oak, allowing the wine’s red fruit and floral notes to remain front and centre, making it an ideal choice for casual meals and social occasions.
The nose is fragrant and inviting, with aromas of cherry, red currant, violet and a hint of dried herbs. On the palate, it’s light to medium bodied, with juicy red fruit, subtle spice and a clean, dry finish. Tannins are soft and silky, balanced by fresh acidity that gives the wine lift and drinkability.
Food pairing: perfect with pizza, grilled vegetables, cured meats, lasagna, or mushroom pasta. Also excellent slightly chilled with antipasti or rustic Italian fare.
Cellar potential: best enjoyed young within 2 to 4 years to capture its freshness and vibrant fruit.
