2024 Fat Bastard Pinot Noir, Languedoc Roussillon

Big personality, soft edges and built for easy pleasure, this Pinot Noir shows the sunny, generous side of the Languedoc. Fat Bastard was created to break away from stuffy Old World expectations, focusing on ripe fruit and immediate drinkability. Southern French warmth gives the grapes plush flavour, while cooler vineyard pockets help preserve freshness so the wine never feels heavy.

Winemaking leans toward a fruit forward style. Gentle extraction keeps tannins smooth, and oak is used sparingly to round the texture rather than dominate. The aim is a Pinot that is approachable, juicy and crowd friendly.

Bright ruby in colour, the aromas open with cherry, raspberry and strawberry layered with soft spice and a faint earthy note. The palate is medium bodied and supple, with red berry fruit wrapped in silky tannins and balanced acidity. Flavours of cherry and plum glide into a smooth, easy finish.
