Gueissard Le Petit G IGP Méditerranée Rosé is a lively and approachable Provençal rosé that perfectly captures the sun-soaked charm and refreshing elegance of the Mediterranean coast. Domaine Gueissard, founded in 2010 by Clément Minne and Guillaume Raffi, has quickly earned a stellar reputation in Provence for producing vibrant, terroir-driven wines with a modern touch. Le Petit G is their playful, early-drinking rosé, designed to deliver classic Provençal freshness and bright fruit in a more relaxed, accessible style.

The grapes are sourced from vineyards across the broader Méditerranée IGP zone, which covers Provence and its surrounding coastal areas. These vineyards benefit from warm, sunny days and cooling sea breezes from the nearby Mediterranean, which help preserve the grapes’ natural acidity. The soils are a mix of limestone and clay, typical of Provence, contributing minerality and structure. The blend is primarily Grenache, complemented by Cinsault and Syrah, classic varieties for the region. Grapes are harvested at night to retain freshness, then gently pressed with minimal skin contact to achieve a delicate pale pink colour. Fermentation takes place at cool temperatures in stainless steel, preserving pure fruit aromatics and crispness.

In the glass, Le Petit G Rosé is a luminous pale salmon hue. The nose is aromatic and inviting, with notes of wild strawberries, redcurrants, citrus blossom, and a hint of watermelon. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with juicy red berry and citrus flavours carried by lively acidity and a soft, mineral-edged finish. It’s vibrant, clean, and effortlessly drinkable, making it ideal for warm weather and casual gatherings.

This rosé is excellent as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with grilled seafood, fresh salads with goat’s cheese, charcuterie, or Mediterranean dishes like tomato and basil bruschetta. It’s also a great match for light pasta or rice dishes and can be enjoyed on its own, well chilled. Best consumed within a couple of years of release to capture its bright, youthful energy.
