Joseph Faiveley Chambolle Musigny brims with cherry, rose petal and silky finesse from one of Burgundy's most elegant villages.
Chambolle Musigny is all about perfume, silk and finesse rather than power.
Among Burgundy's great villages, Chambolle Musigny is celebrated for producing some of the most elegant and perfumed expressions of Pinot Noir. Delicate yet remarkably complex, the wines have long been admired for their silky texture, floral lift and effortless refinement. Founded in 1825, Maison Joseph Faiveley has spent seven generations crafting wines that faithfully express the unique character of Burgundy's finest terroirs.
Fruit for this village wine comes from carefully selected parcels rooted in limestone rich soils across Chambolle Musigny. The excellent 2024 vintage delivered beautifully balanced fruit, combining vibrant freshness with purity and concentration. Gentle vinification and measured French oak maturation preserve the vineyard's natural elegance while adding subtle layers of complexity.
Bright ruby red with youthful crimson hues, the bouquet is wonderfully expressive with aromas of red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry entwined with rose petals, violets and a hint of baking spice. Gentle notes of forest floor, fine earth and sandalwood emerge with time, adding depth without overshadowing the wine's fragrant character. The palate is beautifully poised, with supple tannins, lively acidity and a graceful core of red berry fruit carried through a long, silky finish marked by floral perfume and refined mineral notes.
A superb match for roast duck, herb roasted chicken, veal tenderloin, mushroom pithivier or a truffle and Parmesan risotto. Delicious in its youth, this elegant Burgundy will continue to evolve gracefully with careful cellaring.
