Louis Jadot’s reach across Burgundy extends into Beaujolais, and Combe Aux Jacques is a long standing favourite that shows just how much character can be found at the Villages level. Sourced from hillside vineyards on granite rich soils, this cuvée captures the brighter, more fruit driven side of Gamay while still carrying a touch of structure that lifts it above simple everyday drinking.

The aromatics are immediately appealing, red cherry, raspberry and a hint of strawberry, with a soft floral note of violet adding lift. There is a gentle spice in the background, along with a faint earthy edge that keeps things grounded.

The palate is medium bodied and juicy, with fresh acidity giving it a lively feel. Tannins are soft and well integrated, allowing the red fruit to flow easily before finishing clean with a subtle savoury note. It is balanced and approachable, the kind of wine that feels at home in almost any setting.
