Founded in Verona in 1925, Pasqua is one of the Veneto's best known family owned wineries, now run by the third generation of the Pasqua family. With a strong connection to the region's winemaking traditions, the estate produces a broad range of Italian wines, from celebrated Amarone to fresh, approachable everyday whites. Their Pinot Grigio delle Venezie is a lively, easy drinking example of northern Italy's most popular white grape.
The delle Venezie DOC covers vineyards across northeastern Italy, where Alpine influences and cooling breezes help preserve the bright acidity and delicate aromatics of Pinot Grigio. The 2024 is a crisp, uncomplicated style, made for relaxed lunches, seafood and warm afternoons.
Pale straw yellow with subtle green reflections. Fresh green apple, crisp pear and lemon zest mingle with white flowers and a gentle hint of almond. The palate is light and refreshing, with juicy orchard fruit, lively citrus acidity and a delicate mineral note. A touch of white peach carries through a clean, dry finish.
Try it with spaghetti alle vongole, grilled calamari with parsley and lemon, or a Vietnamese green papaya salad with prawns. For something vegetarian, a simple zucchini and ricotta tart with fresh basil would be lovely.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2027. Best appreciated for its youthful freshness and bright fruit.
