Velvety value offer with blackcurrant, bay leaf and chocolate
This is an inky purple Cabernet with blackcurrant and bay leaf aromas. Medium-bodied, the harmonious palate is layered with cedary chocolate notes, velvety tannins and shows good length.
Shiraz with red fruited aromas sprinkled with black pepper and light, warming barrel derived spices. The juicy medium-bodied palate shows ripe fruit flavours and is framed by light, silky tannins.
About this wine
The Pedestal range of wines from Larry Cherubino are intended to be aromatic and vibrant, eschewing notable oak character for pure fruit expression.
The 2024 was warm, dry and at large trouble-free for the Margaret River region, with Cabernets achieving excellent ripeness. The grapes for this wine were machine harvested and berry sorted before a two-week soak ahead of pressing. The wine went through primary and malolactic fermentation ahead of nine months in seasoned French oak.
