Quartier means neighbourhood in French and the Quartier varietals are a celebration of diverse terroirs on the Mornington Peninsula. The fruit for this wine was sourced from vineyards in Tuerong and Balnarring.
Wild fermented, the wine spent 10 months in large format oak of which only 7% was new to keep the fruit at the fore. No fining and minimal filtration before bottling
Red cherry, strawberry and raspberry on the nose with a gentle spice and rosy perfume. The palate is light to medium-bodied, juicy and fresh with supple tannins and a clean finish.
Approachable from the moment it's opened, no need to cellar this one. Serve with roast chicken, a mushroom and herb risotto, grilled salmon or a simple charcuterie board.
