Sourced from the estate’s sustainably farmed vineyards, this wine reflects McHenry Hohnen’s commitment to organic farming and minimal-intervention winemaking, while offering a more approachable, early-drinking style than its single-vineyard counterparts.

The fruit is grown in the cooler southern parts of Margaret River, where the influence of the Indian Ocean plays a key role—bringing cooling breezes that preserve acidity and promote slow, even ripening. The gravelly loam soils over clay lend structure and mineral tension to the fruit, and the focus here is on expressing site and season, rather than oak or winemaking artefact.

The winemaking, led by Jacopo Dalli Cani, is gentle and precise. Grapes are hand harvested and whole-bunch pressed, then fermented with wild yeasts in a combination of stainless steel and seasoned French oak. A short period on lees adds texture and depth without compromising the wine’s clarity or brightness.

In the glass, it shows aromas of white nectarine, lemon zest, and fresh-cut herbs with hints of cashew and wet stone. The palate is clean and lively, with crisp acidity and flavours of citrus, orchard fruit, and a subtle creamy texture from time on lees. The finish is bright, mouthwatering, and refreshingly dry.
