Lighter style Limestone Coast Pinot with earthy aromas and crunchy red fruit
The vineyard features 'fractured flint atop ancient limestone', and it has to be said that it has produced a stunner of a pinot noir in '24. Meshes the cherry and red fruit with the herbal, the sappy, the earthy and high spices led by cardamom, with a discreet contribution from whole bunches lending a distinct pepperiness. A fascinating wine, each sip revealing another layer, sending the drinker down another ever-so silky tannin-ed track of discovery. Bravo! Drink to 2030.

Sentio is the 2013-established negociant project of talented Beechworth-based winemaker Chris Catlow, whose resume name drops Sorrenberg, Kooyong Estate, Portsea Estate, Paringa Estate and Benjamin Leroux.
Known for Chardonnay, his diverse offer is first and foremost about wines as an expression of place, and grapes are sourced from growers across Victoria.
The grapes for this lighter style of Pinot were sourced from Mount Gambier on South Australia’s cool Limestone Coast. An earthy style with aromas of mushrooms and crunchy red fruit, this fresh take on the variety would sit well with a mushroom pilaf or grilled lamb kofta in flatbreads with a creamy baba ganoush.
