2024 Stella Bella Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Margaret River

A lovely balance of pared-back tropical fruits, more Chinese gooseberries and kiwifruit, with Meyer lemon and finger lime. Lots of green notes this vintage, but the palate has a creaminess. It’s a touch savoury, and a vibrancy to the acidity drives this long. Drink to 2028.

Wet stones, orange blossom and subtle herbal wafts lure you in. Its nervy core carries flavours of citrus and wet rocks while a savoury tail awakens the tastebuds. It's a composed blend with interest and flavour. Drink to 2027.

Stella Bella is the creation of Stuart Pym and Janice McDonald, established in 1996 with their purchase of the 1988 planted Suckfizzle vineyard. Today the five estate vineyards stretch over 60 hectares of well-draining gravelly soils of the southern half of the Margaret River wine region and are managed by a talented team led by viticulturist James Hayward. His winemaking counterpart at the winery is Margaret River local Jarrad Olsen, who’s been with Stella Bella since 2018.

This 70/30 blend of Luminosa vineyard Semillon and Rosa Brook vineyard Sauvignon Blanc hails from the warm and dry 2024 season that produced low yields but good quality of fruit. Both varieties were vinified in stainless steel in order to capture the naturally rich texture and aromas provided by the season.
