Sourced from an Eden Valley riesling vineyard planted in 1958 and 1946. Pale straw with a green flash and aromas of Bickford's lime cordial, fresh lime juice and green apple. Hints of crushed quartz, Christmas lily, jasmine, makrut lime and lemongrass. Stony and pure on the palate with a distinct 'sucking on a river stone' sense of composure to its form. Dry, focused and minerally on the finish; great drinking.

Stonegarden Riesling from Eden Valley is a strikingly pure and expressive white wine from one of the oldest vineyard sites in South Australia. Planted in the 1850s, the Stonegarden site sits high in the Eden Valley ranges, on ancient rocky soils with deep quartz and sandy loam that naturally restrict vine vigour and concentrate flavour. The high elevation provides cool nights that are perfect for preserving acidity and creating pristine, vibrant Riesling.
This wine is made in tiny quantities and is often snapped up quickly by collectors and Riesling lovers in the know. The fruit is hand-picked from old, gnarled vines, some more than 80 years old, and handled with minimal intervention. The juice is cold-settled and fermented slowly in stainless steel to capture the vineyard’s pure fruit and mineral character.
In the glass, it shows crystalline citrus—lime leaf, lemon zest and green apple—underpinned by Eden Valley’s signature wet stone and flinty minerality. The palate is taut and racy, with a dry, linear structure, chalky texture and piercing length. A wine built for the long haul, it will develop complex honeyed and toast notes over the next 10 to 15 years.
This is a Riesling for the cellar, but also a dream pairing with oysters, sashimi, or Thai green curry.
