Tamellini Soave DOC is a beautifully expressive white from Veneto, crafted by brothers Gaetano and Pio Tamellini, who founded their family estate in the early 1990s. Unlike many larger Soave producers, Tamellini focuses solely on Garganega from their own vineyards, working entirely estate-grown fruit with a strong emphasis on purity and terroir expression.
The Soave DOC bottling is made from hand-harvested Garganega grown on volcanic and limestone-rich soils in the hills around Soave. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with wild yeasts, keeping the profile crisp, fresh, and unadorned by oak. This minimal-intervention style allows Garganega’s natural character to shine.
In the glass, Tamellini Soave DOC shows pale straw with green reflections. Aromas of white peach, golden apple, almond blossom, and chamomile lead into a palate of ripe citrus, pear, and delicate mineral notes. The texture is supple yet taut, with a clean, saline-driven finish that reflects the volcanic soils. It’s a wine of elegance and clarity, designed to be enjoyed young but with the structure to evolve gracefully for 3–5 years.
Food pairings are versatile and classically Italian. It is excellent with grilled seafood, calamari, linguine alle vongole, or a simple caprese salad. Its freshness and subtle almond note also make it a perfect match with risotto primavera or lightly spiced Asian dishes.
