Toolangi Pauls Lane Chardonnay from Yarra Valley is an elegant and expressive cool-climate Chardonnay, crafted with precision and finesse by winemaker Damien North. Known for his work with some of Australia’s most esteemed Chardonnay producers, North brings a meticulous, terroir-driven approach to Toolangi, highlighting the unique qualities of the Pauls Lane vineyard. Nestled in the Dixon’s Creek subregion of Yarra Valley, this site benefits from a cooler microclimate and well-drained clay-loam soils, producing Chardonnay with exceptional depth, texture, and minerality.

Pale gold in color with a brilliant sheen, this Chardonnay opens with aromas of white peach, lemon curd, and flint, complemented by subtle notes of toasted almond and struck match. The palate is layered and finely structured, showcasing citrus, nectarine, and grilled hazelnut flavors, balanced by a bright line of acidity and a beautifully integrated oak influence. A lingering, saline-driven finish leaves hints of brioche and crushed stone, making this a complex yet beautifully restrained wine.
