Fresh and textural white with aromas of lime and lemongrass perfect for fresh prawns and Southeast Asian salads
A gentle Sauvignon Blanc greeting with aromas of lime, citrus and lemongrass, this textural white walks a fine line of ripe fruit and fresh acidity that partners well with fresh shellfish or South Asian salads. Serve lightly chilled and enjoyed in its youth.
More about this wine
From the classic, warm and dry 2024 season, the grapes for this wine were sourced from vineyards in Hawkes Bay subregions Raukawa, Porangahau, Mangatahi and Bridge Pa. Harvested over several weeks, each parcel was gently pressed and fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel with a six-month rest on lees. A small 10% component was fermented and aged in seasoned French oak barriques to add complexity to the final blend.
About this producer
With the first of its vines planted in 1993, Trinity Hill was one of the pioneering wineries of the now famous Gimblett Gravels sub-region of Hawkes Bay, with chief winemaker Warren Gibson leading the team since 1997. The estate draws on fruit from three vineyards, all on the region’s famous gravelly free-draining soils that warm up early in the spring and sustaining the warmth long into autumn, allowing for perfect ripeness in most years.
