Villa Raiano Fiano di Avellino DOCG is a refined and age worthy expression of one of southern Italy’s great white varieties, grown in the mountainous heart of Campania where altitude and volcanic soils shape wines of remarkable texture and longevity. The vineyards lie around the village of San Michele di Serino in the Irpinia hills, at elevations of four to six hundred metres, where cooler temperatures, long ripening seasons and significant diurnal shifts allow Fiano to develop intense flavour while retaining vibrant acidity. Villa Raiano is a family run estate founded in the mid 1990s, and it has quickly become one of the leading names in Irpinia. In the glass the wine shows a bright straw colour with golden highlights.
