Yves Cuilleron Digue Roussanne showcases elegant Rhône white with Saint-Joseph pedigree, mineral finesse and remarkable depth.
Yves Cuilleron is one of the Rhône Valley's most admired winemakers, celebrated for wines that express the individuality of each vineyard with remarkable precision. Sourced from the prized Lieu-Dit Digue vineyard in Saint-Joseph, this Roussanne highlights the elegance and complexity of one of the Northern Rhône's great white wine terroirs, where granite soils and steep slopes produce wines of exceptional purity and longevity.
The 2024 vintage delivered beautifully balanced fruit, with warm days and cool nights preserving freshness while allowing superb flavour concentration. Gentle barrel maturation enhances texture and complexity without overshadowing the vineyard's distinctive mineral character, resulting in a wine of harmony, finesse and depth.
Brilliant pale gold in colour, the bouquet reveals aromas of ripe pear, white peach and apricot layered with acacia blossom, toasted almond and delicate honeyed notes. As the wine unfolds, hints of citrus peel, wet stone and subtle spice emerge, adding further complexity. The palate is beautifully textured, combining rich stone fruit with vibrant acidity and a finely etched mineral backbone. Long, poised and wonderfully refined, the finish lingers with saline freshness and impressive persistence.
A magnificent partner for lobster, roasted chicken, scallops, creamy mushroom dishes or aged Comté. Beautifully expressive in its youth, this outstanding Saint-Joseph Blanc will continue to evolve gracefully with careful cellaring.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2035.
