Pale in the glass, fresh and lively. Pungent aromas of gooseberry, cut grass, sugar snaps and citrus. Textured and mouth-filling with a drive of tangy citrus, just-ripe stone fruit and snappy acidity. Long finish; plenty to enjoy here 09 Nov 2025 Drink 2025–2030

Bream Creek Sauvignon Blanc from Tasmania’s East Coast is a vibrant, coastal driven style that brings together the purity of cool climate fruit and the winery’s long history of meticulous viticulture. Bream Creek is one of Tasmania’s pioneering vineyards, planted in the early nineteen seventies on sloping, maritime influenced terrain overlooking Marion Bay. The combination of ocean breezes, cold nights and long, slow ripening seasons ensures Sauvignon Blanc develops intense aromatics while retaining brilliant natural acidity. Fruit is hand harvested at optimal freshness, gently pressed and fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel to preserve clarity and aromatic lift, with a short time on lees to add just a hint of texture.
The nose is bright and inviting with lime zest, passionfruit and freshly cut citrus leading the way. Green apple, gooseberry and white nectarine follow, joined by subtle herbal notes of lemongrass and wild fennel. The coastal site adds its signature whisper of sea spray and crushed shells, giving a refreshing mineral undertone. As it opens, delicate florals and hints of tropical fruit bring extra charm while keeping the style crisp and focused.
The palate is energetic, sleek and beautifully refreshing. A burst of citrus and orchard fruit glides across a lightly rounded texture, quickly sharpening into a long, mineral edged finish. Flavours of lime cordial, grapefruit, green melon and feijoa unfold with mouthwatering acidity that keeps every sip lively. A faint saline twist and savoury herb detail ensure the fruit never feels too sweet or overpowering. It is delicious immediately but can pick up more subtle savoury notes with a year or two in bottle.
A brilliant match for oysters, sashimi, prawn tacos, Thai salads, fish and chips by the sea, fresh goat cheese, and summertime vegetarian dishes. It is a standout Tasmanian Sauvignon Blanc with both verve and finesse.
