Few wines have changed the global perception of rosé quite like Whispering Angel. Created by Sacha Lichine at Caves d'Esclans in the heart of Provence, this iconic wine helped spark the worldwide premium rosé movement. Since acquiring the estate in 2006, Lichine has combined traditional Provençal winemaking with modern precision, transforming Whispering Angel into one of the most recognised and sought after rosés on the planet. What began as a local success story has become a benchmark for dry rosé worldwide.

Sourced from select vineyards across the Côtes de Provence, the blend is led by Grenache, supported by Cinsault and Rolle. The Mediterranean climate, abundant sunshine and cooling coastal influences provide ideal conditions for producing rosé with freshness, elegance and aromatic purity. Careful harvesting during the cool hours of the morning and temperature controlled fermentation help preserve the vibrant fruit character that defines the style.

A delicate pale pink hue sets the scene for a beautifully expressive bouquet of wild strawberry, white peach, raspberry and pink grapefruit. Floral notes of rose petal and citrus blossom add lift and complexity. Crisp and refreshing, the palate combines juicy red berry fruits with hints of nectarine and citrus peel, all wrapped in a silky texture that has become a hallmark of the wine. Bright acidity and a subtle mineral edge bring energy and balance, leading to a clean, lingering finish that is both refreshing and sophisticated.

Serve alongside freshly shucked oysters, grilled tiger prawns, tuna tartare, Mediterranean vegetable tarts or a classic salade niçoise. Equally comfortable at a beachside lunch, a long summer dinner or simply shared with friends on a warm afternoon, it captures the effortless charm of Provence in every glass. Drink over the next two to three years while its freshness and vibrant fruit are at their peak.
