The 2025 Clos du Roy has an attractive nose with lifted, quite floral blueberry and black cherry fruit, a touch of violet and lavender emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannins, focused and quite peppery in style, the finish quite complex and engaging. This is a topnotch Fronsac that should give a lot of pleasure after three or four years in bottle.
