Named after the elevation of its vineyards, 448 Rosso captures the freshness and vibrancy of Alto Adige's remarkable alpine landscape. Produced by Cantina Girlan, one of the region's most respected cooperatives since 1923, this approachable red blend reflects the diversity of the Dolomites, where cool nights, sunny days and mineral rich soils create wines of exceptional purity, balance and drinkability.

The 2025 vintage produced beautifully expressive fruit, with ideal growing conditions preserving freshness while allowing generous flavour development. Carefully selected parcels from vineyards across Alto Adige were vinified to highlight bright fruit, supple texture and the lively character that has made this wine a favourite with lovers of modern Italian reds.

Bright ruby red in colour, the bouquet opens with aromas of red cherry, wild raspberry and ripe plum, complemented by violets, subtle spice and a touch of alpine herbs. The palate is juicy and medium bodied, combining vibrant berry fruit with silky tannins, lively acidity and a gentle savoury edge. Fresh, approachable and beautifully balanced, the finish lingers with red fruits, spice and a hint of minerality.
