From two sites at opposite ends of the Adelaide Hills GI: Kuitpo in the south, flanking McLaren Vale and Kersbrook in the north. Relying on the layers those two picks provide, the making is simple: cool in tank with four months on lees. Riper, more tropical notes mesh with cooler characters. Yellow grapefruit, papaya, pea shoots, lime, pear, melon and tart golden apple, some leesy sway upholstering the mid-palate, the finish decidedly racy and enlivening.
91 points Special Value Marcus Ellis, Halliday Wine Companion, March 2026
Sourced from two vineyards at opposite ends of the Adelaide Hills, Kersbrook in the north and Kuitpo in the south. Made with freshness in mind, the wine was fermented in stainless steel to maintain the varietal spice and tropical fruit flavours. Four months on fine lees following ferment has built creamy texture to complement the fresh acidity of the fruit profile. Nutty and floral lees derived characters underpin the freshness of the palate, without overwhelming the delicacy of the flavour profile. There’s plenty of texture without heaviness, and a savoury finish.
This would be a versatile wine to have at the dinner table. Drink while fresh and young.
