2025 Mr. Riggs Outpost Cabernet Sauvignon, Coonawarra

A value-for money purchase, this wine greets with bright and fragrant black fruit aromas with notes of warm bush shrubs and cedar. The palate is soft and flavoursome, with fine, grainy tannins offering a pleasant, refreshing grip on the finish.

This would sit well with shredded beef tacos or Spanish style meatballs served in a tomato and green olive sauce.

The 2025 Outpost Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the Ey Vineyard planted on Coonawarra’s famous strip of Terra Rossa soils. The fruit was picked over several days, with each parcel vinified separately to allow for blending options. All fruit fermented in five-tonne open fermenters and the pressed wine was matured for fourteen months in a combination of French and American oak barrels (of which 30% and 5%, respectively, were new).
