Nanny Goat Vineyard Pinot Noir brings together Central Otago purity, silky red fruits and beautifully refined Pinot elegance.
Named after the wild goats that roam the dramatic peaks of Central Otago, Nanny Goat Vineyard has become one of New Zealand's most admired Pinot Noir specialists. Drawing fruit from exceptional vineyard sites across Bannockburn, Pisa, Queensberry and the Cromwell Basin, the winery captures the diversity and purity of one of the world's greatest cool climate Pinot Noir regions.
The 2025 vintage produced beautifully balanced fruit, with warm days, cool alpine nights and a long growing season delivering exceptional flavour intensity while preserving freshness and natural acidity. Careful vineyard selection and thoughtful winemaking have created a Pinot Noir that is both immediately appealing and unmistakably Central Otago in character.
Bright ruby with crimson highlights, the bouquet is lifted with aromas of wild cherry, raspberry and dark plum layered with thyme, baking spice and subtle forest floor notes. The palate is silky yet energetic, revealing vibrant red and dark berry fruits supported by fine tannins, lively acidity and a gentle savoury edge. Beautifully balanced and wonderfully persistent, the finish lingers with spice, dried herbs and refined Pinot elegance.
A superb match for roast duck, venison loin, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto or a charcuterie board featuring washed rind cheeses. Delicious in its youth for its purity and charm, this expressive Pinot Noir will continue to evolve beautifully over the next six to eight years.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2033.
