Fresh citrus and white orchard fruit flavours from high-elevation, cool-climate Orange in NSW
Printhie Mountain Range Chardonnay is one of our best-sellers, a beautifully balanced cool-climate white that showcases the finesse available from this high-elevation wine region.
Made from fruit grown across four of Printhie’s high elevation Orange vineyards, the 2025 blend includes a small, complimentary parcel from warmer Canowindra, and was fermented across a mixture of stainless steel and seasoned oak barrels, with extended ageing on lees for added texture.
It pours light autumn hay in colour and opens with an aromatic citrus and orchard fruit nose with subtle notes of tropical fruit. Those spill into the medium-bodied savoury palate, which marries a fresh, bright fruit with light touches of oak spice.
Versatile and adaptable, enjoy this wine when young and fresh. It would be great to have on hand for impromptu visitors and just the right thing for fish and chips or a bucket of prawns.
About this producer
Printhie Wines was established by Jim and Ruth Swift in 1996 when they planted the first vines on the family’s property near Molong in the Orange region.
Their sons Ed and Dave returned to the family business in the early 2000s and have overseen the expansion of the estate to 33 hectares. Today four estate vineyards span elevations from 630 to 1,070 metres in a region defined by altitude. The continental climate and long, cool growing season produce wines of natural aromatic lift and restrained structure.
With experienced winemaker Drew Tuckwell at the helm since 2008, Printhie has become regarded as one of the region’s most consistent producers across its wide range of wines.
