This is the latest release of the White Label Pinot Gris from Rob Dolan Wines, with the previous vintages rated 93-94 points by Halliday Wine Companion.
We’ll add our tasting notes for this wine as soon as it arrives in our warehouse. In the meantime, here’s what Rob himself wrote as tasting notes: “Touch blush from the skins, aromas of nashi pear, white peach and apple, with flavours of cantaloupe and nectarine, and an oily texture. Summer is here. Pear and gorgonzola salad with a honey mustard dressing and your favourite book.”
More about this wine
This wine made by Rob Dolan and Adrian Santolin is a blend of both handpicked and machine-harvested fruit grown in lower Yarra Valley. The grapes spent twelve hours on skins post crushing to allow for some of the skin colour to bleed into the wine. Most were fermented cool in stainless steel, with a 20% component fermented in French oak barrels of which 30% were new, resting for nine months on lees post-ferment.
