2025 Rusden Christian Chenin Blanc, Vine Vale Barossa Valley

Christian is a tribute to the Schrapel family's long connection with Vine Vale, where generations have farmed some of the Barossa's oldest vineyards with a deep respect for tradition and sustainability. Drawn from mature vines in the sandy soils of Vine Vale, the fruit enjoys warm days tempered by cool evenings that preserve freshness and aromatic lift. Gentle winemaking allows Chenin Blanc's natural energy and texture to shine, creating a wine that is both vibrant in its youth and capable of developing beautifully with time.

The colour is a brilliant pale straw with green highlights. Aromas of quince, nashi pear and lemon zest are lifted by white blossom, chamomile and a hint of honeycomb. The palate is bright and finely textured, carrying crisp orchard fruit through lively acidity with a subtle mineral edge. Gentle notes of citrus, beeswax and spice linger across a long, refreshing finish.
