Light bright yellow in the glass; the nose is elusive and there is a hint of smoky yeastiness, a trace of cashew, while the palate is much more forthcoming, with generous poached stone fruit and gently nutty flavours that are harmonious and long, with smooth texture and a dry balance. Very appealing to drink now. 30 Nov 2025 Drink 2025–2031

The 10X range was created as Ten Minutes by Tractor’s relaxed front door, but it still carries the estate’s trademark obsession with vineyard detail. The winery began with three families farming vineyards just ten minutes apart in Main Ridge and has grown into one of Mornington Peninsula’s defining producers. Under winemaker Martin Spedding, even the most approachable wines are handled with the same philosophy as the single vineyard releases: clarity, balance and site expression over showmanship.

Fruit for the Pinot Gris comes from cool Peninsula sites influenced by Bass Strait breezes and long ripening conditions that preserve acidity while allowing full flavour development. In the cellar the approach is clean and textural. Fermentation in stainless steel protects aromatics, while time on fine lees adds a gentle creaminess that rounds the palate without dulling the freshness. The style sits between crisp and softly mouth filling, built for versatility at the table.

Pale straw with a faint copper hue, the aromas open with pear, apple and white peach layered with honeysuckle and a touch of spice. The palate is light to medium bodied and silky, with orchard fruit wrapped in bright acidity and a soft, chalky texture. Flavours of pear and citrus run into a clean, refreshing finish that keeps the wine lively.

It pairs beautifully with seafood, salads, pork and lightly spiced dishes. Drinking perfectly now for its vibrancy, it will hold comfortably for three to five years.
