A little sweetness, a gentle sparkle and plenty of Piedmontese charm make Moscato d'Asti one of Italy's most delightful pleasures. Founded in the late 1800s, Vietti is celebrated for its exceptional Barolo and Barbaresco, but its beautifully fragrant Moscato deserves just as much affection. Sourced from vineyards around Castiglione Tinella, the aromatic Moscato Bianco grape thrives in the region's limestone and marl soils.
Pale straw yellow with delicate golden reflections and a soft, playful fizz. Fresh peach, ripe apricot and mandarin mingle with orange blossom, honeysuckle and a hint of sage. Light, wonderfully fragrant and gently sweet, with refreshing acidity keeping everything beautifully balanced. The finish is bright, floral and deliciously moreish.
Wonderful with fresh mango and coconut pavlova, peach and almond tart, or Thai sticky rice with mango. For something unexpected, try spicy Vietnamese chicken salad, where the sweetness beautifully balances chilli and lime.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2028. Best enjoyed young for its irresistible perfume, delicate bubbles and fresh fruit.
