Fragrant, fresh and balanced with fine, soft texture
Fragrant and lifted, with aromas of white peaches, jasmine, sliced pears and wet stones. The palate is finely textured with a gentle phenolic edge and bright acidity, giving notes of yellow apples, Meyer lemons and grapefruit. Clean and pure. Drink now.

The nose opens up delicately but steadily – first focus is on the lees work, then candied lemon and a hint of ginger, crunchy Golden Delicious apple and cottage cheese, with Nashi pear drop. The texture is in balance with the acidity, which has a lovely freshness and carries both the body and the fruit forward, projecting both into a rather composed length of flavours. It’s a balanced wine, without a hair out of place, and a cool, steely feeling that speaks to Mornington. Drink to 2028.

It pours pale and light, matching the aromas and flavours, as it turns out. Some sliced, barely ripe pears, cucamelon with a squirt of refreshing Meyer lemon juice. The palate is soft, as is the acidity. There’s a feathering of lees and just a tug of phenolics adding shape to the finish. A refreshing, enjoyable drink-now style. Drink to 2029.

Pale in the glass, almost colourless; fresh, clean and subtle pot-pourri, cucumber, white-pepper aromas; the flavour is light and gently fruity with a backing of tannin adding grip and dryness to the finish, where a pepperiness lingers. A very drinkable gris in a dry, appetising style. 09 Sep 2025 Drink 2025–2031

Yabby Lake Pinot Gris is a balanced and aromatic cool-climate white from Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, capturing the region’s hallmark freshness, texture, and elegance. The Pinot gris is planted in Block 2, a section of the vineyard on sandy clay loam soils, with iron shot stone and light medium clay.
The 2025 season was another cool and late vintage. Low yields produced intense wines with impeccable balance and persistence. The fruit was handpicked on 19 February and whole bunch pressed. The juice was cold settled and wild fermented with 80% in stainless steel and 20% in old French 500L oak puncheons. Bottled in July 2025.
This is a medium bodied, complex and vibrant wine with floral and citrus aromas, and flavours of nashi pear. Enjoy in its youth.
