Elegant Yarra Valley Pinot with aromas of strawberries, toasted oak and forest floor
Yarrawood Estate is a second-generation family business established in 1996 by the Schwaiger family. The 60-hectare property is located a few kilometres north of Yarra Glen, with forty hectares planted to vines. Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay lead the way, with smaller blocks of a handful of complimentary varieties.
The Tall Tales wines from Yarrawood are a playful nod to Australian yarn-spinning, with each bottle featuring an illustrated character archetype representing a different grape variety.
This barrel matured MV6-clone Pinot is a vibrant ruby colour and greets with aromas of fresh strawberries and subtle notes of toasted oak and forest floor. The elegant palate displays ripe red cherry fruit, nutmeg spice and fine-grained tannins.
