Fresh, pure and vibrant - a delicate style for sushi platters, tofu ssam and fresh rice paper rolls.
Clarus is Latin for clear, bright or illustrious, and for Nick felt like the perfect name for his style of Pinot Gris: fresh, pure and vibrant, bright in both character and personality.
Pouring a pale blush colour, it greets with intensely aromatic pear and lime cordial like aromas. The palate follows suit, offering vibrant and refreshing, light fruit flavours with uplifting acidity.
This is the perfect easy-drinking aperitif or sipping wine for any occasion. Its refreshing, pure qualities would make it a good partner for sushi platters, fresh Vietnamese rice paper rolls or Korean ssam filled with grilled tofu or light white meat and dabs of mild bean paste.
More about this wine
The 2026 is a blend of vineyards across the winegrowing regions of southern NSW. The night-picked fruit was simply pressed very lightly and settled before it was fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel. The batches of wine were then racked, blended and filtered in preparation for bottling which took place in June 2026.
