Light, soft and delicate drink now-style with gentle herb infused fruit
Adelaide Hills Sauvignon from Sidewood’s own vineyards around the villages of Charleston and Oakbank, this focuses on the tropical fruit salad aromatics of the variety rather than any of the more pungent, green herbal smells that can override the nasals – making for an attractive, delicately exotic style with lemon and crunchy apple flavours providing a refreshing palate kick. Small snacks with Asian elements will enjoy the companionship.

Pale, water-white appearance; fresh and light, simple herbal and green-apple fruit aroma, the palate very light and wispy, with a soft dry finish and good quaffability. Drink to 2029.

The fruit for this wine was estate grown in Sidewood’s Charleston and Oakbank vineyards. The parcels were picked over a two-week period, with juice from the gently pressed grapes going through a slow, cool fermentation aiming to obtain a delicate expression of the variety.
A soft and light style of Sauvignon, we recommend enjoying this within a year or two from the harvest with lighter fare such as vegetarian Vietnamese rice paper rolls.
