100% Estate Grown Gamay sourced from own high density planted vineyard (7700-11,111 vines/ha), planted in 2013.
Gently handpicked to ensure all bunches remain intact, the grapes underwent traditional whole cluster carbonic maceration for 3 weeks, without any addition of sulfur. Matured in old barriques for 5 months, and bottled without fining and filtration in November 2019. Minimal sulfur added (<20ppm) prior to bottling.
The wine opens with an intensely perfumed nose, showing bright red cherries and hints of violets and wild fennel. Light to medium bodied, the palate is sweet’n’silky, full of juicy pomegranates, with fine/chalky tannins. This wine has great length and persistence, with a wonderful fine spice and lively acidity to finish. Please store or cellar below 16° to ensure optimal drinking. Alc 12%. Cellar to 2022.
