Gingin clone from Wilyabrup and Carbunup. Seven months on lees in French oak. Very worked and complex, and the fruit beneath it all is, as usual, sensational. The oak application is intuitive and Goldilocks-esque (not too little, not too much). Plenty of everything – flavour, texture and spice – and lots to like. Get this one into a decanter; there was so much power in 2020 that a little bit of oxygen won't hurt to bring all the components together. Super-smart, and $25!
