2017 David Duband Nuits St Georges 1er Cru ‘Les Proces’, Burgundy

Aromas of red berries, plums, licorice and raw cocoa introduce the 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Procès, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and open-knit wine that's round, enveloping and charming, its tannins entirely cloaked in succulent fruit.

A more deeply pitched nose combines notes of dark berries with those of floral, earth, green tea and leather. The richer and more voluminous flavors possess an attractively refined mid-palate though the slightly short finish is drying. This may come together but it would be fair to describe this as very awkward today.
