Far more reliant on a sash of reductive tension-wet neoprene to lilac scents-than the sumptuous '18. More obvious density of sweet fruit, too. This has eons left in the tank, but may be just on the sweet-angular side in comparison. An adolescent as opposed to the strident juvenile.

A new wine for Thommo. From a vineyard planted in 1971.
Beautifully framed. Spicy, peppery and earthen but driven by plums, boysenberries and black cherries. It has an all-round juiciness/fruitiness but savouriness is never far away, and the measure of tannin and deft application of oak has it stamped firmly with quality. Floral aspects don’t hurt either; it’s a super wine.
