Just one 300 litre barrel made of the first sweet wine produced since the remarkable 2009 (above). This comes from the prime Clos du Chateau vineyard located on the west facing side of Brézé just in front of the Chateau de Brézé near the crown of the hill. Here there is just 60 cms of alluvial soil over the tuffeau limestone. With perfect weather in 2015 three passages were made through the vineyard picking grapes from the end of October through to the middle of November to produce just 300 litres which were aged in one barrel for 24 months. The wine carries a moderately sweet 90 gm/ltr residual sugar balanced by lively acidity and shows terrific freshness and vivacity. Showing brilliantly now and will age effortlessly in good cellars for the very lucky few as only 400 bottles made.
