Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented in French oak (25% new), no additions of any kind except SO2. Not as fresh as the Estate, but has complexity and depth.

Light straw-yellow in the glass. Toasted nuts, white stone fruits and a hint of grapefruit on the nose. Medium-weighted, stone fruits and caramelised hazelnuts show across the palate. A bright line of acid balances the intensity of fruit and spice. A wine that keeps you involved with its unfolding layers and interest. 22 FEB 2021 Drink 2021–2031

Racked directly to barrel after whole-bunch pressing, this wine is the purest expression of TarraWarra Chardonnay. Made without yeast or acid addition, the fruit batches from each block are kept entirely separate in barrel over the 10 months in oak.
