It’s an interesting grape variety in that most taste identifiably Nero with its distinctive DNA, as it were, yet the vines express their little place in the world quite well too. Or am I just talking rubbish so I can fill up an introduction? Often you can come over as smart/authoritative if you deliver the words with confidence.
Cherry, black jelly bean/aniseed, dried herb and roses, iron filings. Medium-bodied, bright and iron-laced, cool fine acidity, gentle grip of fine chalk dust tannin, suggestion of marzipan too, crisp cranberry finish of solid length. Brisk, frisky and so easy to drink. Yes.
