An impenetrable garnet – red colour. A full, rich perfume of jam, cocoa, spices and licorice. A full bodied taste with sweet tannins which make this a rich, long lasting wine, with hints of liquorice and spices which linger in your mouth.
Drink with rich red meat dishes, ragu, game, venison.
Purple ruby. Very clean aromas of nutmeg-enhanced grilled winter squash and sweetly ripe suggestions of peach and strawberry jam. Fresh and tarry in the mouth, with licorice, pepper and smoke dominating on the clean palate. Finishes big and clean, with a cooling infusion of green herbs.
