MV6 clone planted '88, 60% whole bunches, wild-fermented, post-ferment maceration, 35 days on skins, matured for 11 months in French oak (33% new), 165 dozen made. Slightly lighter, brighter colour than the standard wine, the bouquet complex, spicy and inviting; the palate has the power and drive of a tip top great Premier Cru from Vosne Romanee, and a superior outlook for cellaring, its inherent quality protected for decades by the screwcap.
