This was the wine previously labelled as ‘Graillot’.
The 2018 is the first release that we have made ourselves at Place of Changing Winds.
While both the No. 1 and No. 2 wines come from the same, three-hectare plot of vines, this bottling is comprised of two ferments that underwent a longer maceration (around 30 days). Apart from this, the wine was made the same way: 100% whole-bunch, natural fermentation, large format oak, etc.
Pure, layered and dangerously easy to consume, you can expect a smoothly textured wine with blackcurrant fruit, violet florals, hints of graphite (very typical of these soils) and super-fine tannins.
