An inaugural release. This is a true multi-vintage blend of eight years of Chandon’s Vintage Brut reserve wines held in barrel dating back to 2005, which may have been too heavy and complex. In fact, it has exceptional balance, poise and length, with flavours spanning white peach to croissant leading to a lingering fresh finish.

Chandon Étoile from Yarra Valley is a refined and expressive sparkling wine that showcases the elegance of cool-climate Australian viticulture, crafted under the expert guidance of winemaker Dan Buckle. As one of Chandon’s flagship cuvées, Étoile reflects the house’s French heritage while embracing the unique terroir of the Yarra Valley. Made in the traditional method, it blends Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier from handpicked parcels, each contributing to the wine’s complexity and finesse.

In the glass, Étoile shines with a pale golden hue and a fine, persistent bead. The nose is vibrant and layered, offering aromas of lemon curd, green apple, and white peach, underpinned by hints of toasted brioche, almond, and a touch of hazelnut. On the palate, it's beautifully balanced, delivering crisp citrus and orchard fruit flavors alongside delicate autolytic notes of pastry and creamy mousse. A fine line of acidity keeps everything fresh, while a subtle chalky minerality adds depth. The finish is long, clean, and elegant, with lingering hints of citrus zest and roasted nuts.

This sparkling wine pairs perfectly with oysters, smoked salmon canapés, or grilled scallops. It also complements creamy cheeses, roasted chicken, and citrus-infused salads.
