Founded in 1921 in the Grand Cru village of Aÿ, Champagne Collet has a proud history rooted in the region's grower traditions. Its Art Deco Brut pays tribute to the elegance and creativity of the 1920s, a period that helped shape the house's identity. Drawing on Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards, this beautifully balanced Champagne combines the richness of Pinot Noir with the freshness of Chardonnay and the fruitiness of Meunier.
The blend is carefully assembled from selected vineyard parcels, with reserve wines adding consistency and complexity. Extended ageing on lees contributes a refined mousse and delicate pastry notes, while the Brut dosage maintains an appealing balance between richness and freshness.
Pale gold with a fine, lively bead. Ripe pear, yellow apple and white peach mingle with citrus blossom, toasted brioche and a hint of almond. The palate is fresh and inviting, with creamy bubbles, juicy orchard fruit and gentle spice. A subtle chalky character and refreshing acidity lead into a clean, elegant finish.
A lovely match for Vietnamese rice paper rolls with prawns and herbs, crispy potato rösti with smoked salmon or a delicate crab and avocado salad. For something vegetarian, try sweetcorn fritters with lime and coriander.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2030. Enjoy for its lively fruit and freshness, with a few years available for additional savoury complexity.
