Delamere Sparkling Rose, Tasmania

A 100% pinot noir rosé from a 2021 base with 25% reserve from old hogsheads consisting of 2020 (6%), 2019 (9%), 2018 (8%) and 2016/2017 (3%); 15 months on tirage with two months under cork and a dosage of 5g/L. Pale salmon pink in the glass with a fine energetic bead and mousse. Aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry, grapefruit and pomegranate with underlying hints of crushed stone, fresh berry danish, a whiff of freshly sliced fennel, white flowers and sea spray. Graceful and vivid on the palate with a crystalline acid driveline, excellent tension and a clean, long, refreshing finish that shows great velocity and length of flavour.
